Fantasy Polymer Clay Jewellery

Join the colourful and talented Bev to create these fun fantasy leaves to make earrings/pendant and beads. Bev will demonstrate and talk you through each step of the process, so you go home with stunning jewellery you made yourself. 

You will learn about the tools you will need to get started in polymer clay art, how to choose colours that work well together. How to blend colours and make a jelly roll. How to make a cane and how to make earrings, a pendant and beads from the cane

Finally Bev will show you ways to use leftover clay to make beautiful shaped beads.

Frida in a Frame

We will create a beautiful Frida Kahlo inspired painted and collaged artwork using Mulberry flowers, foil art, gems, and decorative papers. You can personalise the image to be subtle or not, eyes open or closed and so forth.

You will then finish off your image with a box frame so your Frida is ready to be displayed as soon as you get home!

Beginner Techniques in Watercolour Painting - Five Week Course

This 5-week course covers techniques to develop your watercolour skills and knowledge and is aimed at beginners. You will explore subjects such as stretching paper, laying different types of washes, wet-on-dry, wet-into-wet, lifting, dry brush, mixing colours, monochrome images, and hard and soft edges.

Each week, you will learn different techniques and build on previous work, discovering how to bring these skills together while working with a variety of subjects, including sky and clouds, still life, and landscapes.

All materials and equipment are provided, but feel free to bring your own brushes and mixing palette if you wish.

In this workshop you will be taught how to cut glass safely, grind and shape the glass on a machine, copper foil and then solder to a high standard.

Janet will have the heads and ears already prepared as they can be very fiddly for beginners in a 3 hour workshop.

Join Janet Fraser in this morning session to make a beautiful stained glass pumpkin using smooth and textured coloured glass!

In this workshop you will be taught how to cut glass safely, grind and shape the glass on a machine, copper foil and then solder to a high standard.

We will have different shades of orange to choose from for the pumpkin body which you will cut and shape. A loop can be added to hang your pumpkin. The curly metal work will be prepared for you in advance as this can be fiddley for beginners.
